Monday
Horror gripped the heart of the World War 1 soldier, as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. Caught in a trench with continuous gunfire's whizzing over his head, the soldier asked his lieutenant if he might go out into the "no man's land" between the trenches to bring his fallen comrade back.
"You can go," said the lieutenant, "but I don't think it will be worth it. Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your life away."
The lieutenant's words didn't matter, and the soldier went anyway. Miraculously he managed to reach his friend, hoist him onto his shoulder and bring him back to their company's trench.
As the two of them tumbled in together to the bottom of the trench, the officer checked the wounded soldier, and then looked kindly at his friend. "I told you it wouldn't be worth it," he said. "Your friend is dead and you are wounded."
"It was worth it, though, sir," said the soldier.
"How do you mean, worth it?" responded the Lieutenant. "Your friend is dead"
"YES, Sir" the private answered. "But it was worth it because when I got to him, he was still alive and i had the satisfaction of hearing him say, "JIM........, I KNEW YOU'D COME." (Take sometime to think about the story)
Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how u look at it. Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life...

Did the story put a tear in your eye? It certainly did for me. Life is full choices and often enuff, the situation that we are in, is just a result of the accumulation of many choices [one lead on to the next].
It's like choosing between two paths. We might choose one over the other, thinking that we will come back again to the same path - and try the other out. Strangely, we will never get the chance to go back to the same path, or to who we are again... We are different and we change - for the better or worst. Sometime, the little choices that we make can just make the person's day or just break the person into pieces... [it's still a choice]
If being with you is a wrong decision, I would still make this decision to be with you. For I didn't choose to make the wrong decision, instead I choose to be with you. For maybe a fleeting moment of being with you is worth a lifetime of unhappiness - dwelling forever in the moment of happiness. For then, I will truly understand what it means by being loved or being happy. [
in reference to sat's post]
"May each and every one of you be blessed with the company of true friends." "A true friend is one who walks in, when the rest of the world walks out."
War doesn't determine who's right. War only determines who's left.
No matter how busy we are, it's not an excuse to spent sometime making other people happy. For true happiness is found in the smiles of others.
This is not meant for anyone, just a little reflection of this weekend and the story I post.
